Dr. Kelly Wright has been practicing family medicine in her home town of Vashon Island since 1998. She enjoys spending time with and getting to know her patients, learning their personal and health histories to aid in discovery of the root causes of symptoms. She believes the body has the power to heal itself, and that it takes a thorough investigation to learn what that support should be, as it is unique to every individual.
The treatments Dr. Wright uses include lifestyle changes, counseling, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutritional therapies, natural hormones, and pharmaceutical drugs when necessary. She provides naturopathic primary care to patients of all ages and treats all conditions. The best part of her job is working with generations of patients, and seeing the benefits of natural medicine when it is implemented for whole families.
Dr Wright earned her ND from Bastyr University in 1998. She also received a BS in Health Sciences from Bastyr, and a BA in psychology from The Evergreen State College. Dr. Wright has been a professor at Bastyr University and was the managing physician of the Bastyr Center for Natural Health Dispensary. She served on the editorial board of The Journal of Naturopathic Medicine, and was the first Naturopathic recipient of Washington State Health Professionals Loan Repayment Program.
Dr.
Wright lives on Vashon with her husband Sean and their daughters Sophie and
Stella, one half mile from her childhood home.
Besides practicing natural medicine and being with her family, Kelly
loves to spend time gardening, knitting, and supporting causes that work towards a healthy
and sustainable habitat for all.
